How does Velotrader connect to my brokerage?
Velotrader connects via secure API keys from your brokerage account. We support Alpaca, Interactive Brokers, and TD Ameritrade. You grant read/trade permissions only — we never have withdrawal access. Your funds stay in your account at all times.
Do I need trading experience to use Velotrader?
No prior experience is needed. Once connected, the system handles everything — scanning, signal generation, order execution, and risk management. You receive clear notifications for every trade. Many of our subscribers are first-time automated traders.
What is the minimum account size?
We recommend a minimum of $10,000 to allow proper position sizing. The Starter plan supports accounts up to $25,000, Pro up to $100,000, and Elite has no upper limit. Smaller accounts can participate but position sizes will be minimal.
How does Velotrader manage risk?
Risk is controlled at the trade level — the system never risks more than 1.5% of your account on a single position. Stop-loss orders are placed automatically on every trade. The strategy also includes a daily drawdown limit that halts trading if losses exceed a set threshold.
Can I pause or stop trading at any time?
Yes. You can pause automated trading from your dashboard instantly — no need to contact support. Any open positions remain in your account; the system simply stops opening new trades. You can resume at any time.
